Privacy policy
NobodyChat is built to know as little about you as possible.
What we store
- Your username, nickname, the question on your page, and the date you joined.
- A one-way hash of your password. We can't see or recover your password.
- Messages sent to you, until you delete them or delete your account.
- Your logged-in devices (browser and system name only, like "Chrome on Android").
Random chat
If you use random chat, we store the gender you choose (male or female) and who you'd like to meet. It's shown to people you're matched with and used only for matching.
What we never collect
No email address, phone number, real name, date of birth, precise location, contacts or photos. We never sell personal data.
Analytics
Only if you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics measures how the site is used (pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate country). It is never used to identify who sent a message. See the cookie policy.
Anonymous, but not untraceable
Other users can never see who sent a message. To stop spam and abuse, we keep a scrambled, one-way code made from the sender's network and browser type. We never store raw IP addresses. These codes are used only for rate limits, blocking and bans, and are removed from messages after 30 days.
Safety screening
Messages are checked automatically for contact details and abusive content before delivery. Messages that look risky may be held for review by a moderator. Reported messages are reviewed by moderators.
Deleting your data
You can delete any message at any time. Deleting your account removes your profile, messages and sessions permanently after a 7-day grace period.
Legal requests
We only share data when legally required. Because we collect so little, there is very little we could share.
